Senior 3D Designer

• As a Senior 3D Designer in the 3D & Mockups group, you’ll play a key role in pushing the boundaries of how 3D can be created, prepared for WebGL, automated, and scaled at Canva. This is a senior-level role, where the focus is on expert craft, innovation, and problem-solving.

Main Responsibilities

• You’ll collaborate with engineers, designers, product and program managers, Content lead, and fellow 3D designers to deliver pipelines, assets, and processes that elevate Canva’s 3D capabilities. You’ll thrive in uncharted territory—designing workflows that don’t exist yet, experimenting with AI and automation, and finding ways to make complex 3D design accessible to everyone.

• Innovate and Explore: Pioneer new workflows, pipelines, and processes for 3D design, including AI-driven solutions that don’t yet exist in the industry.
• Craft at a Senior Level: Create complex, high-quality 3D assets - including models, textures, materials, and renders - that raise the bar for Canva’s 3D content.
• Automate Workflows: Develop and apply scripts, plugins, and automation pipelines that make 3D production faster, smarter, and more scalable.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with engineers, product managers, designers, and fellow 3D designers to deliver integrated 3D solutions.
• Set Quality Standards: Apply a meticulous eye for detail to ensure 3D assets meet Canva’s benchmarks for realism, scalability, and usability.
• Experiment with AI: Explore how AI and emerging technologies can transform the way 3D assets are created, optimized, and deployed.
