Your Role

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on base building, interior architecture and interior design projects that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and management of budgets and schedules
  • Design and deliver functional and beautiful spaces for projects within Practice Areas such as: Office Developers, Workplaces for Technology, Financial Services Firms, Professional Services Firms, Hospitality, Mixed Use and more
  • Develop building core and enclosure systems
  • Advise clients and team about the building and zoning codes
  • Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultants
  • Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials
  • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges
  • Maintain project manual and specifications
  • Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during construction
  • Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience with interior architecture and/or ground up building architectural experience (ideally both!)
  • Proficiency with Revit a must
  • Knowledge of SketchUp, AutoCAD + 3-D, Enscape, VRay, Grasshopper, Rhino or other visualization software Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or SPEXX a plus
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
  • Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas
  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
  • A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
  • Licensure or Registered Architect
  • LEED accreditation is a plus
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; If possible, portfolios should include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interview
