Interior Architect, Workplace

Your Role

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on interior architecture and interior design projects for Workplace Interiors that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and management of budgets and schedules
  • Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, and AV consultants
  • Responsible for communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials
  • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges
  • Support Specifications Writer to maintain project manual and specifications
  • Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during construction
  • Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships
  • Provide guidance, mentorship and training to teammates

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited program
  • Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3D and other modeling software programs
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Enscape, Illustrator, InDesign, SPEXX a plus
  • Working knowledge of building codes and standards, and permit processes
  • Hand rendering skills to communicate design concepts are a plus
  • Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas
  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
  • A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; If possible, portfolios should include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interview
  • Licensed/Registered Architect; NCARB + LEED GA or AP preferred
